I was away most of the day for a meeting, but I did get to see the videos that everyone made!! I am so impressed with them!! Fantastic work!!
I am looking forward to the Fall Festival this Friday! I hope that all of you will be there.

Happy Monday!
I hope that everyone had a great weekend! Friday night's chorus performance at the Lassiter game was a wonderful way to kick it off!! Great job to all who performed and came out to watch!!
I just looked at the leader board for the Kid's Heart Challenge. We are in a tie for second place...but the thing is, we have more kids on our class so we should be able to win this! 😉 All you really have to do is register on line in order to help the class out.
Picture Retakes are next Tuesday, October 29th. If you would like retakes, please return the packet to school. I can hold on to them until retakes.
Looking further ahead, The Holiday Lunch will be on November 8th in the Cafe, from 10:55 - 11:25. Please note that on your calendars so that you will be able to join us!!

What a beautiful fall day!! I hope everyone got a chance to get outside and enjoy it!
Thank you so much for helping out our sweet tooth, oops, I meant Science class with the candy!! We will be using the different types to create a dichotomous key in class tomorrow.
So much is going on this week for an early release week! Red Ribbon Week wraps up tomorrow with a pajama day. The Kid's Heart Challenge is still going strong, so don't forget to register! Conferences this week have been a wonderful opportunity to sit down with all of the parents and talk. Please feel free to keep that line of communication open. You can always send a text via remind or send an e-mail if you have any questions.

Crazy Hair & Sock Day was a blast! What amazingly creative families we have here!
If your child comes home today asking you to buy them a bag of candy for class, they are not trying to get at the Halloween candy early! We really do need it. We are beginning our study of Classification of Organisms and will be using candy to create a dichotomous key. 😅
Other reminders: Tomorrow is animal print or Davis tigers t-shirt day.

Happy Monday!
I am enjoying to opportunity to talk with all the parents this week. Conferences have started out on a great note! If I have not met with you yet, I look forward to doing so later this week.
This week is also Red Ribbon Week. All week long we will have special days to celebrate committing to living drug free. Tuesday is mis-matched clothes day. It should be fun to see everyone dressed in wacky outfits tomorrow!

Maybe it is just that the temperature has finally dipped below 90 degrees, but it is finally starting to feel like fall! The first quarter of school is about to wrap up, so please be sure that you are able to get on ParentVue. If you are not, forms were sent home in last Thursday's papers for you to sign and return to me. When I get that sheet, I will provide you with your log in for the system.
I have almost everyone's confirmation for Conference Week. Thank you so much for returning that to me! If you have forgotten your time, please e-mail me and I will get that to you.

Happy almost Friday!
The kids who went on the field trip today had a fantastic time! Those of us who got to stay here, had a really fun day with only 13 friends in the room! Lots of time for some of us to get ahead! 😉
Don't forget that tonight is Thursday, so the agendas and gold sheets need to get signed. Thursday papers went home today. There are lots of graded papers as well as the Unit 1 Math test in the packet. Additionally, a number of important information sheets pertaining to report cards and assessments in the 5th grade are in the packet. Please look everything over and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact me. Tomorrow is spirit day, so pennants and wrist bands came home. Please wear your favorite team shirts.
Lastly, Conference notices were sent home on Tuesday. Most everyone has returned theirs! Thank you!! If you have forgotten to return it to school or requested a new day/time, please touch base with me tomorrow and let me know that the conference time is acceptable.
